I'm digital again!

So, I posted earlier about my poor digital camera that bit the dust. The batteries went dead, so I changed them, and the lense still wouldn't open, and the light shut right off as if the batteries weren't connecting.

When I told my darling husband I needed to look at new digital cameras, b/c mine wasn't working, can you guess what he asked me?

"Did you try putting new batteries in it?"

Duh!! YES I had tried putting new batteries in it. I had also removed and tried them the opposite way a few times too. I know myself well enough to check and make sure I had them in the right way too.

Well, he told me not to buy a new one until he had a chance to look at it. Okay, he really is the ultimate Mr. Fix it, but digital cameras?! I had no faith that he could fix it, but I obediently waited for him to get around to looking at it. All the while deciding what kind of new camera I was going to buy.

Well, finally the day came when Ted made time to check out my poor broken camera. He opened the battery compartment which highly irritated me since I had already changed the batteries, did he think I was a moron?!

He slipped the batteries into his hand, looked at them for a millisecond, and exclaimed, "Oh here's your problem".

I'm thinking no way!!!! I messed with those batteries, how can this be?!

"These are non alkaline batteries," he explained. "You need alkaline."

Well, I was not positive he was right, but again, obediently I motored down to the CVS and made sure I bought alkaline batteries.

He popped them in, flipped the switch, and out came the lense, up lighted the screen and I'm in business again!
